CEO Chang Duckhyun meets with the Philippine Trade and Industry Secretary Fredo E. Pascual

Samsung Electro-Mechanics CEO Chang Duckhyun meets with the Philippine industry minister - In a meeting with Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Fred Pascual, on August 15, Samsung Electro-Mechanics CEO Chang Duckhyun explained the Samsung Electro Mechanics Philippines(SEMPhil) main activities, innovative technology cases and contribution to the economic growth in the Philippines, and discussed its business status in the country.

 

Mr. Chang affirmed SEM’s interest in partnering with the Philippines particularly in developing the workforce needed for high-technology operation expansion which is in line with the objectives of DTI on Human Capital Development.

 

For his part, Secretary Pascual thanked CEO Chang for their contribution to the Philippines in terms of high-tech investments and job generation, discussed the DTI’s program to support existing and new investors and expressed the Department’s commitment to assist SEMPhil in their expansion plans.

 

CEO Chang also asked for support in Korea's bid to host the 2030 Busan World Export as Samsung is a member of the public-private 2030 Busan World Expo Bidding Committee.
